ROUNDFACE: He is a special boy, too. He is 14 years, has short black hair and a little round face. He is a sweet "one family" cat (my Mom included). If the other cats jump in our laps, he's there immediately. He was a true feral cat when we adopted him. It took two years of feeding him and speaking to him before I gained his confidence. i would put food out for him by the woods and he would come out as long as I wasn't there. The minute he saw me (or anyone) he was gone! Gradually, he would let me stand there while he ate. Then, I began putting the food close to the house. when he finally let me in his world, (yep, two years) after trying to earn his trust, he was in need of veterinary assistance. His tail has been broken and is in a perpetual "crookedy" state. His "elbow" on his left front leg is huge, probably broken or mauled several times. He is a survivor. He has a sweet little gesture where he looks at me and then places his front paw, very softly, on my cheek. We are so glad he lives with us.
BUMP: Bump is our bad boy! He is a rock solid, yellow and white short haired cat. He never, I mean never, stops purring. People love to hold him because he has a very loud purr. This little adorable "characteristic" is lost on cats since he is something of a bully. He came to us inadvertently because he was beating up other cats in the neighborhood! (One of ours included). We knew that we would not be able to care for him or change his disposition unless we had him altered. So he has been "adjusted" - all of our animals are spayed and neutered. We have also provided "love therapy." He is better, still a little overt in his territorial intentions, but better! We know he is a lover, we are just trying to control his pugilistic tendencies!
PURRBLE: Purrble is the baby of the family! She is a darling little long-haired black beauty. Quite a little "minx," too. We rescued her when she came to our home during a cold, cold rain storm about a year ago. Amazingly, she loves water! She loves to sit on the sink when my husband is cooking! She will play with the water for long periods, not caring one bit if she gets splattered or not! She is the youngest, the only little girl, and dare I say, a little bit spoiled! She is about 19 months old!
We love 'em!
